Leadership coach, Bay Area mom, and believer in leading with intention

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here. I'm Laura, and I'm passionate about helping leaders in the Life Sciences industry navigate the beautiful mess that is leadership.

After spending 15 years at Genentech (including as a founding member of their Transformation Coaching team, where I helped drive change across 4,000 employees), I left the corporate world to start On Purpose Leadership. Why? Because I realized from personal experience how easy it is to lose yourself in work that matters deeply, and I wanted to help other leaders find a more sustainable way to create impact.

I work primarily with life sciences leaders who are scaling teams, stepping into bigger roles, or navigating the kind of organizational transitions that keep you up at night. Through coaching, leadership team offsites, and strategic engagements, I help leaders surface insights, align on what actually matters, and build the trust and clarity needed to tackle complex challenges without burning out.

My approach blends strategic business thinking with deep coaching expertise—because let's be honest, technical skills alone won't get you through the human complexities of leadership.

When I'm not coaching or writing, you'll find me in the Bay Area with my husband and two young sons hiking, exploring or playing any game that includes a ball.
